Los Angeles DUI Defense LawyerDUI Defense Firm Defending Clients Accused of Drunk Driving Offenses in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties in California

At The Justice Firm, our Los Angeles DUI Attorneys know the serious consequences of being convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs or narcotics. Those convicted not only face penalties which may include steep fines, driver's license suspension, and possible jail/prison time, but loss of reputation, increased/cancelled auto insurance, and the requirement to attend alcohol education programs. Public transportation is not widely available in Southern California; losing your driving privileges can seriously impact your career and personal life.

Many people who are pulled over on suspicion of DUI believe if they are guilty, they have no option but to cooperate and suffer the consequences. The fact is, unless you plead guilty or no content to the charge, you are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Our Los Angeles DUI defense firm is dedicated to protecting your legal rights, and achieving the best possible outcome so that the damage to your reputation and life is minimized.

Aggressively Defending DUI Charges in Los Angeles and Surrounding Areas

When possible, our focus is to have DUI charges against our clients dismissed. When this is not possible, having the charge reduced can result in penalties which are less harsh, and less damage to the client's life, career, and reputation. Those in need of a capable and experienced Los Angeles DUI lawyer can rely on our team for aggressive, effective legal guidance and representation. We will thoroughly review the details of your case and work with you closely to develop a strong defense, exploring any potential weaknesses in the prosecutor's case. Our experience and in-depth understanding of this area of criminal law allows us to reach the desired outcome in the majority of cases.

Additionally, the criminal justice process involves humans, which means mistakes may be made by police, prosecutors, even judges. Police must have reasonable suspicion to pull you over; breath tests are not always accurate or reliable. The results of field sobriety tests rely for the most part on the administrating police officer's opinion. Police must follow proper procedure; any misstep or question of whether breath testing equipment was operating properly may be used to your advantage. We will explore all options and leave no stone unturned in our efforts to obtain your desired outcome.

California DUI Penalties

The penalties you will face if convicted of a DUI offense depend on a number of factors, including whether it is a first or subsequent offense and other aggravating factors.

  • Fines of between $390 and $1,000

Second offense -
  • Summary probation for three to five years
  • Fines of between $390 and $1,000
  • Up to one year in county jail (96 hours minimum)

Third offense -
  • Informal probation three to five years

  • Up to one year in county jail (120 days minimum)
  • 30 month DUI education program approved by the court and successfully completed

Client Reviews
I moved to another state and missed court. They issued a warrant. I called the Justice Firm and spoke to Joe Virgilio and he was very helpful. The they were able to get the warrant removed and fixed it so I got probation and could go back to work. Neal R.
My mom called the Justice Firm. I had a public defender who was pushing me to take a bad deal. My new attorney Mr Browning was able to get my case dismissed. They also gave me a number for a bondsman who gave a great price so I could get out and get back to work. Carlos G.
My son had the lawyers at the Justice Firm represent him. They were really good. Mr. Hunt always calls me back to answer my questions and let me know what is going on. We have referred several people to them over he last few years and they all thank me for it. They work with the district attorneys to get good results. Rick Q.
